Cecropiaceae – Cecropia Family

Plants in the subtropical and tropical American Cecropia Family (Cecropiaceae) are perennial, monoecious trees, shrubs, and lianas with alternate, simple or compound, stipulate leaves, small flowers, and syncarpous, indehiscent fruit in the form of a drupe or a nut. Note: Some now consider these plants to be part of the Nettle Family (Urticaceae).
